National Gingerbread House Competition
Whether or not you’ve ever tried your hand at crafting a Gingerbread House, you’ll respect the many entries at the National Gingerbread House Competition. Each year, dozens of unique and interesting gingerbread house creations go on display at the Omni Grove Park Inn. This Asheville tradition has been going on for almost 30 years, and is a must-see event during the Holidays.
Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum
The Winter Lights at the North Carolina Arboretum is a newer attraction, and a welcome one at that. Visitors will be dazzled by 500,000 energy-efficient LED lights that decorate the gardens, along with a 50-foot animated tree. The Arboretum is one of many places to see Christmas lights on display in Asheville.
