Nearly 85,000 Silverado EV Work Trucks Have Been Ordered

2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV | Ft. Stockton, TX

Since announcing the production of the all-new electric Chevrolet Silverado EV, General Motors has made nearly 85,000 Silverado EV WT reservations for roughly 370 companies. To gain customers’ confidence and ease the transition to an electric fleet, a team of GM Fleet Experts has become the main source of solution-based assistance. These experts are listening to their customers’ concerns and taking note of what people want.

Consider this proactivity a foreshadowing of what the Chevy Silverado EV WT has to offer its future truck owners, in the name of trust and reliability. The Silverado EV’s advanced technologies are backed by Ultifi, a Linux-based software platform that enables fast and frequent software updates — so you don’t have to worry about tech bugs bogging down your workflow.

Speaking of innovative tech, GM’s Ultium battery platform optimizes the Silverado EV’s handling experience, even when trailering, thanks to its well-engineered weight distribution and low center of gravity. The Ultium Platform also means you’ll get up to a 400-mile driving range, when fully charged.[1] GM is further easing customers’ concerns by offering various charging options, like standard DC Fast Charging capability.

To top it all off, the Silverado EV WT has the muscle to back up its electrical prowess. EV WT models will be able to tow between 8,000 to 20,000 pounds,[2] crank out 510 horsepower, and reach up to 615 lb-ft of torque.[3]

If you want to learn more about why so many others already trust GM to build their electric fleet of work trucks, contact our friendly team at Amistad Motors in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Chevy Debuts First-Ever Pursuit-Rated Silverado

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | Fort Stockton, TX

After more than 20 successful years with the Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle, Chevy has introduced the first-ever 2023 Silverado Police Pursuit Vehicle. With versatile capabilities and exceptional performance, the 2023 Silverado PPV meets the modern-day needs of law enforcement.

The Silverado PPV comes as a short-bed crew cab with four-wheel drive and standard 20-inch black steel wheels that achieve a 46.9-foot turning radius. The truck is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering a total of 355 horsepower. The six-piston Brembo front brake calipers with 16-inch rotors bring the truck to a halt when needed while the standard heavy-duty engine air filter increases the truck’s overall performance when on the beat.

When duty calls, the Silverado PPV can tow up to 9,300 pounds. Meanwhile, the standard skid late, locking rear differential, and Rancho shocks (with the Z71 off-road package) offer up some impressive off-road capability. With the available 2-inch lifted suspension, the Silverado PPV has an 11.35-inch ground clearance and a 25.9-degree approach angle to conquer barriers easily. The Silverado PPV is also optimized for specialty equipment upfitting, including auxiliary wiring and Surveillance Mode circuits that allow the installation of horns, sirens, and lighting controls.

For the officers who continue to uphold the peace, Chevy will continue to deliver what it knows best: powerful performance and capability. Chevy Teams Up with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports for NASCAR Xfinity Series

2022 Chevrolet Corvette | Fort Stockton, TX

Almost nothing beats the high adrenaline rush of watching a NASCAR race – except maybe driving in one. Chevy also shares this love of racing, which is why the brand continues to sponsor new talent.

The latest driver Chevrolet has chosen to sponsor is Jesse Iwuji, a United States Naval Academy graduate and current Navy Reserve officer. Jesse Iwuji had 5 starts in the 2020 – 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series and also appeared 15 times in the 2018 – 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Jesse Iwuji Motorsports is also co-owned by Emmitt Smith, who made his name in football and is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Smith and Iwuji met in 2020 following Smith’s sponsorship of Iwuji’s car at the event. The pair’s venture will get engineering and team development assistance from Chevrolet, a veteran in the NASCAR world.

Starting in 2022, Jesse Iwuji Motorsports will begin in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in a Chevrolet Camaro SS. The vehicle, the No. 34 Empowering People More Camaro SS, will be driven by Iwuji himself. Of the new team-up, Iwuji stated, “There couldn’t be a more authentic manufacturer partnership for me than one with Chevrolet.”

Though you can’t get a track-ready Camaro at Amistad Motors, you can stop in to test drive some of our racing-inspired performance vehicles like the Camaro and Corvette.
